This article does not apply to Global MBA students who by all means must pay by 21 July.
We recommend our students to regularly consult their ESSEC account statement showing due amounts and due dates. Indeed students who do not pay by the due date of payment are subject to fines and sanctions.
Students must NOT unilaterally change the date of payment. They must have contacted the Registrar prior to any change of the due dates. Students who are not in compliance take the risk of sanctions and/or late payment fee as described in the Online Enrollment agreement, financial rules.
1. Request for monthly installments
You first have to submit a request by email to registraire@essec.edu.
In case your request for a deferred payment is accepted, you'll be required to pay upfront a 600-euro fee per school year to initiate a contract for a monthly installment plan. Then, the yearly amount is divided into monthly installments. Any further modification will be subject to additional fees. The annual tuition fee must be paid by the following July.
Defaulting students take the risk of fines and sanctions as described in the study contract.
Therefore we highly recommend that you consider all of your options such as student loans.
When at all possible, student loans are by far the better option for French residents who can borrow in France. Non French nationals must have a guarantor in France who is a fiscal resident in France.
Deferred payments must be received by Accounting by the end of the school year for which the request has been accepted.
If payments are delayed for too long, students must be aware that delayed payments for one year will accrue to the due payments of the following year.
2. Request for a 2-time payment
In case you have not selected the 2-time payment when doing your online enrollment and wish to opt for that facility, you first have to submit a request by email to registraire@essec.edu.
Your request for a 2-time payment has to be accepted.
Then, you'll be required to pay upfront a 150-euro fee per school year.
The amount initially due in full on 31 August will be divided into 2 amounts, 50% to be paid on 31 August, 50% to be paid on the following 31 January.
Defaulting students take the risk of fines and sanctions as described in the study contract.
3. Request for postponement due to exceptional hardship
Requests to pay at a later date, after the due date, which is 31 August must be duly documented so they can be reviewed by the office of the registrar before they can be accepted.
For example, documents may include:
- official letters from banks refusing to lend a student loan,
- certificate of serious health condition,
- certificate of unemployment,
- death certificate of parent (father, mother),
- natural or home disaster,
or any other document of the same kind.
Any fraudulent declaration shall be sanctioned.
