How to keep ID or valuable documents Safe

Modified on Fri, 6 Mar at 2:50 PM

As a piece of advice we recommend that students keep an electronic copy (eventually in a cloud data archiving solution) of their ID documents such as

- passport, visa, residence permit,

- birth certificate,

- insurance (health, housing, travel),

- medical records,

- prescription, etc,

so as to access their own records any time if need be.

Then, if they wish to do so, students can grant access to the person of their choice at any given time, for any time period.

On campus, foreign students (i.e non French, non EU) may carry a photocopy of their passport along with the photocopy of their French student residence permit to avoid loss or theft.

They must provide the registrar's office with a scanned copy of some of their documents upon enrollment.
